Filmpark Babelsberg

Where I finally met Indiana Jones & Albert Einstein and jumped through plenty roles,
worlds and ages in just a few hours.

During my stay in Potsdam (Germany) I couldn't resist visiting the Filmpark Babelsberg. There are so many exciting attractions to explore! There were different shows, stunt shows as well, I saw one with film animals and tricks that are taught to them!

Also, you have the unique chance to take a closer look at the interesting jobs a film production acquires, for example costume designer or film art painter (they recreate famous paintings for films). Absolutely loved the idea with the boots and the brushes! Might recreate this once!

I "met" Indiana Jones, Albert Einstein, Sandmann and more film figures. There is a part of the park that's wild west inspired in fancy colours, as well as a medieval age one. I was excited to go to the medieval age but when I arrived I realized that it was REALLY creepy and left as fast as I could. But during my really short stay at the medieval age I peeked into a restaurant that looked like a real fortress! I thought it was so cool but as I sat down to order food the lights went really dark and creepy noises started and I was like, you know what, I'll eat somewhere else; byeeeeee.

Something I was very happy and excited about was that the original movie culisse of The Three Musketeers from 2011 was there! It was an insane feeling standing in front of it! I think that movie is amazing, all the actors are great and I've already watched it so many times!

To finish off my filmpark experience I couldn't miss out on watching a 4D film! I've chosen the wild west one, it reminded me of Lucky Luke! It was incredible much fun and very well made, so realistic!

I'm so happy I had the chance to visit Filmpark Babelsberg! For a few hours, instead of thinking about school and other stress I just ventured through different films and worlds, as if I belong there.
